I tried to give this complicated and nuanced subject the attention it deserves on one of the most prestigious stages imaginable. Thank you, TEDx London for having me and helping me.
From my own personal experiences, to the wider issues around air travel discrimination, to the documentary we made called ‘Fight To Fly” (on All4 now) to my thoughts on being called an “entitled cripple” – I tried to squeeze it all in to the 10 mins of unscripted talk time.
To say I was nervous was an understatement. This subject matter matters so much to me – as it does to so many of us.
