Stella Lee Instagram – Upon my visit to Hunan Province in China, I had a chance to try the traditional costume and accessories and took a picture at their iconic river 🇨🇳
Hunan is home to ethnic minority groups like the Miao and Tujia, who have a strong cultural connection to silver. The Miao people, in particular, are famous for their elaborate silver jewelry, which plays a crucial role in their festivals, weddings, and cultural identity 🩷
This silver is traditionally handcrafted and worn in headpieces, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings—not just for beauty, but also as symbols of wealth and status. Hunan is one of the regions where these silver ornaments are both made and worn extensively and it’s shown on this costume ✨
They also have makeup service but since I had done my makeup and did not have enough time, I only had a quick makeover consisting of change of clothes, hair braid, and put on silver accessories 💄
