The Blessed Madonna Instagram – Come to Brazil! and where’s home?
My answer to both: yes. And yes this is home. My people are here in Brazil.
And tonight, after falling ill the last tour I’m finally really here and I’ve brought a person I love and admire very deeply for We Still Believe in São Paulo: None other than Moodymann AKA Kenny Dixon Jr., a certified freaky mf, the mayor of Detroit and one of the kindest people I have the pleasure of seeing on the road.
If you came for the last show when I was unable to play, this night will be just the healing we all need.
If you spend enough time in this place, it crawls into you. And then I find I that I count the minutes to come to: Brazil. YES! This is the place I waited for my whole life to play. The place I my heart waited to be changed by. The place that changed my life. The way I view the world. The place Ricardo Villalobos handed the keys to the dawn to be at the Sambadrome. The sun came up over the east.
So we are back with our friends. Our family here.
