My Grandmother Versie Lee Moten taught me how to make a house a home. She and my Grandfather started off in the Compton projects. They worked hard and moved up to Carson. They never had much money, but she managed to have a china and silver cabinet full of GOOD STUFF that she’d always pull out for “special occasions.” I LOVED it when she let me “help” her set the table with all of her pretty things! 😉🥰
