This New Year turned out to be quite ambiguous—everything seemed spontaneous at the last moment. Although I had planned an evening out, an unfortunate health issue involving doctors spoiled my mood. I thought I would stay home with my mom, eat some Olivie salad, watch my homeland’s president’s New Year’s speech, cry a little, and then fall asleep. But somehow, I found the strength to attend Maxim’s party, thanks to my wonderful friends, who made this celebration truly special. Because of them, it turned into a very pleasant way to welcome the New Year.
