Herbie wasn’t feeling quite like herself, so Dr. Porter with PHD Veterinary Services gastroscoped her and as suspected, found a pyloric ulcer. She’s been undergoing treatment, and throughout this process, we wanted to make sure she had all the support she needed to feel and perform her best. That’s why we also treated her with Alpha-2, a regenerative therapy to help her recover.
I’m definitely sad that I won’t be showing with my barn at WEC, but putting the horse first always comes before the show ring. Her health and well-being are the priority, and I know that when she feels her best, she’ll be able to perform her best.
