The community, the advocacy, the WAVES @seckinmd and his team of incomparable experts are making…it shakes me to my core every year, and re-ignites the fire in me…the need to do MORE for #endometriosisawareness 💛
Endometriosis remains possibly THE most underfunded medical condition that affects the MOST people in the world with the least amount of treatment options. It is a whole body disease that can be debilitating for most.
🎗️There is STILL currently NO known cause and NO known cure for endometriosis.
🎗️At least 1 in 10 people born with a uterus have endometriosis (though I personally believe it’s double that statistic).
🎗️The average delay to diagnosis is 7-10 years (though it took me 25 years to get mine!)
So clearly, there is so much work to do. In the meantime, here are some pretty pictures from a night that reminds me how fortunate I am to be part of a celebration that not only honors resilience and community—but also raised vital funds for @EndoFound’s work in advocacy, education, outreach, and research. Thank you to everyone who came and supported! Let’s push the mission forward, together!!!
