I know this video and new poster has been out for a few days now, but I’ve genuinely been so fucking terrified of saying something I shouldn’t for so long and ruining all the forced lies we’ve been made to tell for YEARS that I thought I’d give it a few more days. Eeek. Plus… I know a load of you will say “SPOILER!” and I’m sorry but what’s a girl to do when there’s a new cool as heck poster?! #TheNewAvengers #̶T̶h̶u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶b̶o̶l̶t̶s̶* #missyoualready

Tickets are PURCHASABLE for this lil flick we made on… MONDAY. Going to the movies has many reasons why its a good idea- eating strange snacks, holding hands if you like, have a baby nap if you’re pooped, getting jumbo sized drinks that no one really needs and of course being entertained by cool characters in super suits. It’s just a good idea! Swipe to see a happy Daddy and excitable Yelena while shooting. #Thunderbolts* #marvel

Alright. The prep. I’m going to break it down because this jump just has so many chapters to it. As you all have probably heard by now I really fought for the opportunity for us to do this stunt. Of course there’s the selfish reasons like, “omg this would be amazing to do and pull off” but also the main reason was I really knew this would just start this movie in the most powerful and impressive way possible, really just showcasing and affirming ourselves as to what this movie achieved. We got the all clear maybe as close as a month out? That meant that the incredible stunties (after being asked if this was possible and if they wanted to do it😅) then got to work on actually doing the hardest and most important part- making it safe and doable. None of this would have been possible without them and their constant hard work. Our powerhouse stunt coordinator @heidimoneymaker works with the best crew and having her and them believe in me was the superpower that really got me to Malaysia. So, one weekend we went in and practised what we wanted the jump to look like aesthetically. Do I fall off with two feet? Do I fall off with one foot? Do I step off? We practised and filmed them all. What tells a better story. Yes of course in actuality she’s got a parachute, but I really wanted her to look delicate and beautiful, like the beginning of an arabesque. Or a swan dive. Like she’s given in and is just tempting fate to make the decision for her. Almost willing herself to not care about if she lands or not. All of these thoughts went into the design of the fall so that you guys when watching already have a sense of where she’s at. The riggers put together a mock structure and piled the studios shipping containers and when we got it right, Shane asked me with a wry smile “you feel good? Because the next time will be on the top of that building.” Another important thing was to make sure I’d gone through the feeling of failing as well, so I could start to learn how to prompt my body if that were to happen on the top of the Mederka. So if I over shot it and flipped, how to manage my weight to restable myself. All these things to make me as prepared as possible.

Big personalities don’t always fit in the same frame at the same time. Every time. And that’s fine! 🥳 #fuckilovemyfriends
