Ireti Doyle Instagram – A couple of nights ago, I couldn’t sleep so I decided to watch some TV.
I ended up binge watching OLOTURE THE JOURNEY, and after that, I watched MVERA..
Both of them explore a deep dive into the world of human trafficking and illegal organ harvesting…crimes that are as old as mankind and still being perpetuated on a grand scale to this day.
By the way, I’ve never thought of rating any film on Netflix, not even one of mine, but I was compelled to give OLOTURE a double thumbs up. If you haven’t seen it, pls do, and while you’re at it, give Mr. Gyang his flowers!
As for my colleagues Stan Nze, Sharon Oja, Beverly Osu, and the 4th guy whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, I doff my cap! A brilliant, albeit very disturbing watch.
Then… my mind wandered to real life heros…people and organisations who have committed time, energy, money, blood, sweat, and tears to fighting this scourge and giving victims a second, real chance at life…
@rebidahosa and her organisation @pathfindersji have been on the frontline of this battle for a decade… fighting the scourge, seeking justice and rehabilitating lives in what appears to be a mever ending cycle, you have to see it, to fully understand what the world is up against…
Sis… well done. May the Lord continue to strengthen you, imbue you and your team with courage, and provide all that is required to keep the work going.
