Because this is a funeral too.
The anthem is played when soldiers fall.
And our forests? They are a silent force. A soldier.
They shield us from floods, heatwaves, disease, extinction.
If that doesn’t deserve a national salute, what does?
So if you’re questioning the music instead of mourning the loss,
maybe take a moment to reflect, not deflect.
The anthem isn’t disrespected here.
