I pulled a lot of themes from Raquel’s memoir “Beyond the Cleavage”. The “stealth Latina” aspect of her life and career is one of many themes delved into for this documentary. She also spoke of her fraught relationship to the Second Wave Feminist movement in the 70’s as women were demanding financial and legal protections against issues like domestic violence. And having one of the most (in)famous interracial kisses with Black actor, Jim Brown, during the height of the civil rights movement.
