Patricia Kihoro Instagram – It’s comeback season! It took a minute, but things are finally falling into place. Life feels…hopeful again and a girl has been LIVING this past month. There’s so much to share! 🤩
This video is from the 4th of January this year. My 38th birthday.
I spent it mostly in solitude, reflecting on the shege that 2023 had shown. It’s like Mercury stayed permanently in microbraids; lots of hurt and loss and pain, and even though 2024 said, ‘hold my beer’, there were the occasional glimmers of joy.
In the stillness of this day though, there was still so much to be grateful for. So much. Most especially for all my loved ones who sprinkled joy throughout, and some that I got to end the day with.
That’s the beauty of life though, isn’t it? The seasons. The waves. That we get to experience the fullness of the human experience. What a blessing to feel. So deeply, and so fully. And if a retreat into solitude helps us find our way back to ourselves, then so be it.
Speaking of braids, (and in the spirit of remaining lighthearted), these Human hair boho braids by @spritzhairstudio were the real MVP. They held up through the first TEN weeks of 2024, when things got really heavy. Life really was lifing but at least they helped keep it cute. Spritz really did the thing!
When life gave lemonade, I threw on a bright yellow lemon print top from @ikojnlive, my favorite pink skirt from @shopnewlevel (I miss their fashion side) and celebrated the lightness of being amidst the heaviness that surely, in time, lifted.
“Today I hope a lot of things, but most of all, I just hope a lot of things for you”.
