Samata Amin Instagram – 100 Days of Middle Class Family ♥️Oh my gosh, what a journey it has been! Also, my first film to hit this milestone of 100 days ♥️. Looking back, I never thought this journey would bring me to where I am today. I can’t express how much of a rollercoaster this journey has been. But I’m taking a moment to thank all the people who have been there and made me feel loved.
First and foremost, a big thank you to the whole team of MCF for believing in me and having me on board to live “Kushi.” And when this rollercoaster journey gave me the most crucial days, there was one person who never left me alone – my co-star who became my best friend, @vineeth.kumar.a How could I have survived this journey without you? Thank you for standing with me through all the sickness and suffering, Vin. I’m really grateful for you.
This journey was the most difficult for me. I went through the hardest times of my life – my health, mental health, and personal life. At the beginning of the MCF journey, I was diagnosed with PCOS due to lifestyle changes from shooting, traveling, and food habits, which I was unaware of at that time. I had been traveling continuously for three months to Mangalore, Mumbai, and Gulf countries for another movie promotion – no sleep, no proper food, just traveling and eating outside food. This led to PCOS and weight gain. When you all asked me about the weight gain in Middle Class Family, this was the reason. Every moment I watched myself on the big screen, my heart ached. If you know the PCOS symptoms, then you know.
As an artist, we want to look our best on screen, and I wanted that too. But whatever it was, I stood up and faced it with grace. And you guys showed love by not judging me and motivating me instead. I love you all for standing up for me. And I’m still fighting each and every day to reverse PCOS; it’s a difficult one, and it’s not a normal life for me anymore.
Life took an unexpected turn, shattering me mentally and physically. But faith and acceptance helped me find strength in believing everything happens for a reason.
