SIPHO HOTSIX MABUSE What an amazing day I had with the legend @siphohotstix and his band. It started on our flight home to GQ to honour @heraldlive celebrating 180 years of journalism. He shares how he was friends with my late father in law Bhut Terry Baduza from eSteke during apartheid and the things they got up to during the struggle. AND it ended with an impromptu tribute to my aunt Sis Brenda Fassie which made the audience erupt with glee. In his band is Bhut David Mabaso who created the legendary bassline to WEEKEND SPECIAL 😩🥺 My heart is SO FULL. LOOK AT GOD – Ngoba Unathi uThixo ngamaxesha onke. #Herald180

A number of us flew home to celebrate the 180th birthday of @heraldlive and to raise money for the @kolisi_foundation on behalf of @siyakolisi To cut a very long beautiful story short. We laughed, we danced, we ate and the room dug deep into their pockets. We sang imigwijo, taught the audience our different click sounds and I promised the VC and Journ department of @rhodes_university that I’m doing my masters in 2026 and my PHD in 2027😩🙆🏽♀️ We celebrated the Springbok U/20s and wished all nations good luck for the Four Nations hosted by Gqeberha.
