“‘Painterly Thoughts’ was captured from the backseat of a taxi in Kolkata on a rainy day. As the city moved past me, the glass turned into a canvas—warping colors, distorting figures, and blending reality into something almost surreal. What first caught my attention was the man’s intense gaze in the rearview mirror, a quiet contrast to the chaotic scene outside. The rain, the reflections, the movement. Everything merged into a fleeting composition that felt more like a painting than a photograph. This image is about that in-between space, where everyday moments become something more, shaped by light, texture, and time.”
