Our first ever family staycation! A spontaneous plan, but oh so precious! We ended up celebrating something truly special. My husband’s bold, beautiful leap of finally launching his YouTube channel Rooted. I still remember the very first time he mentioned the idea of starting a podcast and I had thought, there couldn’t be anyone better for the kind of stories he wants to tell. And now watching him take that step? Proud is an understatement! Surprising him with a cake and a gift and that look on his face? I wish I could frame it forever. 🥺 Then there’s our baby boy Archie. His very first time staying somewhere new and what a natural! He slept like a log, played with all his heart, tried swimming for the first time (cutest little paddles everrr), and I think we’ve got a little outdoor baby on our hands just like us. The way he snuggled into Vishnu’s lap the whole time, my heart melted into a puddle. The highlight of the trip was definitely playing 20 questions with my husband, like lovestruck teenagers rediscovering each other all over again. We’ve both changed over time but somehow we’ve never let go of the flirty, romantic, best-friend kinda love. Vishnu driving with one hand on the steering wheel, the other holding mine and Archie snoring peacefully on his lap, tell me that’s not super daddy energy at its finest? 😭 Grateful for the little things, the slow days, the big dreams, and this little family of ours. ❤️

The first time I watched the Iraaday video, I just knew I’d recreate it someday with the love of my life and our dog. Today being a Sunday, I was on my usual solo beach date when the weather got so dreamy I texted my husband, ‘Wish we were having breakfast here.’ & 20 mins later he shows up with Archie and a picnic basket with juice & sandwiches. LIKE WHAT?! 😭😭 Our first time at the beach as a family and it was definitely a CORE MEMORY for all three of us. As I was editing this, Iraaday started playing in my head and I literally froze.
