Aleen Keshishian Instagram – One year ago today, my extraordinary mother died. I miss her every day. Her friend Jane Davis sent me this note which sums her up perfectly:

The word temerity always comes up when I think about Cecile. While there are a few women who possess genuine bravery, who amongst them has the refined style, grace, and appeal your mother had?
I say none.
She was like an inimitable cross between Gloria Allred and Coco Chanel. The word “queen” is a perfect description of her. She defied the expectations of her time, age, & gender fabulously and memorably.
What a beautiful soul she had – the truest greatness and goodness.
To hear her voice was to blow away the blues with the touch of a sorceress.”
