While there are many endearing traits about Mississippians, the one I love the most is how much we show up for our people. Mississippians living in Washington, D.C. have built a very close knit community thanks to lots of friends and mentors over the last 40 years. The Mississippi delegation has been placed in senior leaderships positions over the years affording a larger number of our folks back home to have an opportunity to live and work in our Nation’s Capital. This week, many of those folks came together to celebrate Mississippi’s own @catheaddistillery. We assembled the best #bourbon tasters including @farrell_fermentations & Joe Prebble of Sneiders on Capitol Hill, @asyadanielle, @lauraleel, @theflyguyjr and Governor Haley Barbour and selected a barrel just for @mississippisociety!
