If “I walked in every room as myself” was a person— I started watching Ryan’s interviews to understand the vision behind Sinners… and ended up getting a master class in authenticity. A reminder that code-switching is a choice, not a requirement. In a world that constantly tells us to quiet our voices, soften our tone, and leave our culture at the door—Ryan walks in whole.I love that his Oakland accent enters the conversation before he does. And he never shrinks it down or smooths it out to make other people comfortable. His genius is Undeniable & His legacy is Bigger than film. It’s the way he shows up—Black, brilliant, and unbothered. Reminding us that who we are authentically is enough-That we don’t have to dilute, dim, or reshape ourselves to be digestible. Let ‘em choke. You are not too much. You are not “unpolished.” You are powerful. You are enough. And when we show up fully as ourselves, we don’t just enter the room—we shift the entire atmosphere. Let them adjust to us because the real flex Is showing up exactly as you are—and watching the world make room for it. Thank you for the reminder, Ryan. #powerinauthenticity #RyanCoogler #wearetheculture

WE RIDE AT DAWN for Joel!!!! This episode had me thinking about perspective—I couldn’t shake how sad I was for Ellie but what I would have done if I was in Abby’s shoes… I think It’s easy to hate Abby. We’ve been locked in with Joel and Ellie from the start, so, of course, she feels like the enemy. But Joel unalived her father. She didn’t just wake up evil—she was/is grieving. And it got me thinking a lot about other “villains” who in my opinion weren’t really villains Killmonger wasn’t wrong—he just had a by-any-means approach. The Joker was a reflection of how broken the world already was. Thanos was wild… but he thought he was saving us. Maybe sometimes the “bad guy” is just someone whose pain isn’t traditionally understood by society. The truth is, the villain typically depends on who’s telling the story. Pain makes us pick sides. And our perspectives are just the view from where we’re standing. It doesn’t always make it the truth—just our truth. We’re all villains in someone else’s story, and we’re the hero in another 🤷🏽♀️ #Perspective #TheLastOfUs #TLOU2 #JoelAndEllie #AbbyTLou
