For 2years you stood by me as I experienced the darkest moments of my life to date. Not once walking or looking away. We’ve stood up against so much just to hold close a love only we knew and felt. This was different. It wasn’t for show and while no one was looking we made a ton of sacrifices to allow us to bask in a partnership solely based on truth. In that truth, our real selves revealed, flaws highlighted, and vulnerability on full display. In what we know most would run from, we ran toward the uncomfortable and painful road that lead us here. Today we remain here. We remain honest, vulnerable, and accepting of who we are. We remain here committed to the versions of ourselves and relationship we can be proud of daily. I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve always understood who I could be at my best, while also understanding the person next to me would have to provide a safety specifically designed for me, to have all of me. I thank you because you did that. You saw me and continue to see me. As we continue to build, I only pray I’ve done some of the same for you…(I know I did lol) but thank you…I love you..
