Can’t describe how utterly terrified I was of doing this play – any play to be honest. I’ve spent many years thinking that because I wasn’t formally trained I’d never get the opportunity to do something like this.
I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone who pushed me to believe that I could do it. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this form of storytelling. Despite the massive panic attack on night one which led me to walk into a wall and almost break my nose…. Despite all the phones that go off, the fear of singing in front of people… the person that got neuro virus halfway through the show and projectile vomited for 13 minutes, the time I forgot to pee beforehand and almost burst my bladder midway through a speech… despite all of that, this has been the highlight of my career
Thank you @hampstead_theatre – our director Ellen McDougall, Beau Willimon, everyone working behind the scenes and everyone who has come to watch so far.
But especially to this lovely company for all the laughs, hugs and shoulders to cry on. 🫶🏻
