We went to TeamLab Planets Tokyo early in the day, honestly with zero expectations. But within minutes of stepping in, we were completely in awe. It’s hard to describe the experience in words – it’s immersive, interactive, and feels like you’ve entered another dimension where art, light, nature, and technology all come together seamlessly.
Each room is designed to engage your senses in a unique way:
✨ The Water Room: My absolute favourite! You walk barefoot through knee-deep water while digital koi fish and petals swim around you – it’s surreal. The reflections, the movement, and the feeling of being one with the artwork was just magical.
🏃♀️ The Athletic Room: So much fun! This space is super interactive and playful. You’ll find yourself bouncing, climbing, and moving through art that’s meant to be felt, not just seen.
🌸 The Nature-Themed Rooms: Stunning is an understatement. Think giant floating flowers, soft mirrored spaces, and artwork that reacts to your presence. It makes you slow down and just take it all in.
What stood out the most was how every room had a sense of peace and wonder – like a mindful escape from the city chaos. It’s more than just an art exhibition; it’s an experience that truly stays with you.
⏳ Give yourself 2 to 3 hours to really soak it all in. We didn’t want to rush a single second.
💸 And yes, it’s absolutely worth the money. You’ll come out feeling inspired, relaxed, and just a little more connected to the beauty of the world around you.
