For years, women carried relationships- emotionally, mentally, and even socially. Men got comfortable. They thought being present physically was enough, while women handled the emotional heavy lifting.
Now women know boundaries. We expect effort, empathy, listening, and growth from our partners. And when those things aren’t given? We step back.
But instead of stepping up, many men hide behind excuses- “I’m an introvert”, “I’m busy”, “I’m bad at feelings”. The truth? That’s avoiding emotional accountability.
Healthy relationships need work from both sides. Women are putting in the work. If men choose not to, loneliness is a consequence.
