2/21/91 I met Marianne Faithfull while on a shoot with @bruce_weber. I had no idea who she was besides the fact that my dad was and still is a huge @therollingstones fan. So I knew that she and @mickjagger were close. I was struck by how effortlessly cool she was with her cigarette in hand, having just finished taking photos with Bruce. Such a rock star. 💫 #rip #mariannefaithfull. Well done, again, Mom, for getting this photo op with all of us when we had the chance. ♥️
Last night l reunited with one of my top directors, James Gray, at Gardena Cinema to screen one of my favorite films to work on: Two Lovers. We talked about topics like how polarizing this film was upon release, as well as David Lynch, and Ringo Starr. He’s one of the few directors who see actors as the center of the medium, and can do amazing impressions. Although he didn’t do one of me. 😂. He did get stumped on his favorite game of “name the director” on any film; which is the only time I’ve seen it happen. Please support your art house theaters!
