Several is the story of a four-person polycule living together in Brooklyn—(polycule: a group of individuals involved in romantic, sexual, and platonic relationships that connect all the members in the group.)
What began as an ideal, an experiment in intimacy and freedom, has twisted into something far more complicated and inescapable.
Beneath the shared bed and whispered promises, hearts go unheard. The human need for more—for validation, for escape, for something just out of reach—gnaws at them.
No matter how many arms hold you, loneliness can still seep in.
As JAMIE, EMILY, KATRI, and CONSTANTINE reach for connection in all the wrong ways, they find themselves only pushing each other further apart.
Their tangled relationships unfold in front of us on Social media, as a promotional prequel for an original theatrical production in development at the Gracemoon Theatre in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
As our star-crossed polycule members grasp desperately for something real, we are pulled into their orbit, drawn into their search for meaning and the impossible promise of fulfillment.
