Emily Hampshire Instagram – Regardless of what you believe about gender—because we can only know what we’ve been taught, told, or exposed to—what I love about this moment is that you can set all that aside for a minute and just listen to @dylanmulvaney ‘s humanity. 💛 She’s not asking for anything, not taking anything from anyone. She’s simply hoping that if you’ve never met a trans person, you will. Because she’s right—what’s being attacked in trans people is exactly what makes them extraordinary.
There’s nothing more inspiring than someone willing to face judgment, hormones, public puberty, and the loss of relationships—just to be authentically who they are.
No one would go through even a fraction of that just to get into a bathroom or win at track and field 🥇believe me.
