Kimiko Glenn Instagram – On this day last year, my best friend Mike left this earthly realm to become one of the most beautiful guardian angels a girl could ask for.
For a fretful week, a small group of us sat by his side at the hospital before he was taken off life support, and despite bearing witness to it all, I could not believe it to be true. Death is funny that way. It hardly feels final.
In many ways he’s still so present — I speak to him everyday, I feel him around me when I need support. On the night I wrote Oh Honey, I needed his advice. He always had the most incredible wisdom to impart and knew how to deliver it with a sense of humor. I felt close to him on this night.
For anyone who might be grieving, I hope Mike’s words are a comfort to you, as it was to me.
