Lisa Surihani Instagram – On 16th August 2025, a Night of Remembrance/ Malam Peringatan was held at Dataran Merdeka to commemorate Anas al-Sharif the beloved journalist of Gaza & his colleague who was killed by the Isra*l regime just for speaking the truth
Anas’s last words was read in English & Bahasa Malaysia and the ceremony was closed with a call to action :
• To follow, amplify the accounts of journalists who are still in Gaza and demand their protection
• To organise fundraisers for families of killed journalists
