It slows life down. Literally. In every way.
When i was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago I had no idea what a ride i was in for. But my family and friends circled around me, total strangers, and other cancer survivors with stories of hope and faith.
I’m am so grateful for the team of women surgeons who worked for hours last week doing my mastectomy and reconstruction. And who came to my bedside post surgery on her day off to check up on me.
I am optimistic and hopeful as i rest and wajt for next treatment steps and I’ve got so faith that things are gonna be just fine.
And hey, let’s continue to talk about this stuff. Thank goodness we live in a time now where we can. Women’s health is important and you’ve got to advocate for yourself and your health and keep on top of things and be in tune with your body.
I’m so glad i did. And I’ll always be weirdly grateful for this gift of cancer even through it all.
