Richa Panai Instagram – 3 years, countless memories, and one big dream come true.
Five years ago, during lockdown, I realised it was time to step away from films after almost a decade. The movie world is addictive, but I knew this was God’s way of pushing me toward something new.
Out of all the ideas I had, this café felt closest to my heart. Finding a space in Mumbai wasn’t easy—high rents, endless rejections, and even a few tears—but then, almost magically, this place appeared, and everything fell into place.
I had no idea if anyone would walk in, but the love we received was overwhelming. Not just from the neighbourhood, but from across Mumbai and even nearby cities. Exactly as I dreamt it, the café became a meeting point for cat lovers and cat parents.
Of course, there were tough times too. The hardest was November 2024, when a fire reduced the café to ashes. I broke down, but within 12 days—through nonstop work and divine strength—we rebuilt and reopened.
And today, as Kit Cat Café turns 3, my heart is full of gratitude. Thank you for making this dream not just survive, but thrive. Knowing that our journey has inspired similar cafés across India means more love, more awareness, and a brighter future for cats—that’s the biggest achievement of all❣️😻💕🫶🏻 | Posted on 23/Aug/2025 17:08:22
