Freeman Shokudo, Tokyo’s best Brooklyn Backyard BBQ, is the genius of the Freeman family. After countless backyard BBQs in Brooklyn, booths at Bushwick farmer’s markets, and years of trial and error, the Freeman duo headed to Tokyo, got settled in and started dreaming their restaurant into being. Their goal? To give back to the community that has enriched their lives so greatly.

Jeremy’s long career in the music industry as a record shop owner, DJ, and collector infuses the place with soul, charm, and a sense of community. The ribs?
