Story time…
On March 2, 1955, a 15 yr old soul on fire named Claudette Colvin, refused to sit in the back of the bus. She was arrested but her story was not well publicized because she was a minor. After the 1 year old civil rights movement and the NAACP decided to be strategic and intentional, 9 months later, on December 1, 1955, a more mature woman, same soul on fire, but a woman who could handle being the level of a public disruption that was needed, sat down. A 42 yr old Rosa Parks took a seat on a bus in Montgomery that would change the world.
Rosa went on to mentor Claudette who became a leading activist.
Fearless.
Soul on fire no matter the age.
Purpose driven.
Focused on change.
Understanding the assignment.
They gave us the blue print.
The importance of being strategic and intentional?
