My favorite tones.
Diluted, but rich with depth and flavor.
Beyond the palette, I respected the people of Florence most of all.
Not particularly accommodating to tourism, but not cold either.
They were assured in who they were, grounded in what they had, and generous enough to share it, just not perform it.
The nightscape felt like what a city used to mean: a collection of buildings draped along a river, interconnected by bridges — not overwhelmed by substantial towers or architectural giants.
As a Dora who loves exploring countryside over city terrain, it was the kind of city I could actually get behind. Walkable. Breezy. Alive.
My senses weren’t assaulted by sirens or traffic or fluorescent noise.
It moved easy, with a sultry pace.
