Candice King Instagram – “Make sure it’s on sourdough!” This is the daily reminder I get from my 9 year old when I make her sandwiches for lunch. She’s a sourdough super fan. Then, when my stepdaughter mentioned that she had been baking her own sourdough I figured “How hard can it be?” Five years behind on THE trend of the pandemic, I decided to finally get my hands doughy. Thanks to a quick Amazon supply purchase, and some gifted sourdough starter, I was on my way! Or so I thought. I have a whole new respect for bakers, my stepdaughter (wouldn’t have made it through this process without her videos and voice notes), Taylor Swift, the sourdough community as a whole, and whoever came up with how this funky loaf is made. If anything, I hope this is a friendly reminder to keep trying to new things.
