Cush Jumbo

Cush Jumbo Instagram – NEW EPISODE!! I loved this one, it was such a full circle moment, from meeting Archie whilst doing a talk at the BRIT school when he was 15, to working together, and now coming on Origins. We cover everything from childhood, the time his parents slept in the car with him and his siblings because they thought it was a fun idea, to his time at the BRIT school, the school he used to get his parents to drive past, just so he could take a look. Followed by an eye-opening chat about his experience at LAMDA where he openly talks about being a person of colour at a white majority school, and the struggle he went through after witnessing the use of blackface in a school production. This set in motion a series of events he’s never talked about before, and, @archmadekwe I’m so grateful you shared it with us. We have reached out to LAMDA and they have provided an official response on the story, which you can hear in the full episode. Listen now, wherever you get your podcasts. | Posted on 22/Oct/2024 11:32:28
