It’s been a little over a year since I took my one way flight from Korea and a part of me still can’t believe that my Korean life is over. Korea is where I truly grew up – where I became this strong, capable, independent woman that I’m proud of. Korea gave me some of the best memories of my life – some of the best people in my life! While I am extremely happy and super excited about the life I’m building in India, close to family, doing what I always wanted to do – I know I’ll always carry a little bit of Korea with me. I never wanted to get a tattoo unless it meant something deeply personal. And in my last month there, I found that meaning. I knew I would always remember this beautiful place fondly and what better way to remember Korea than the nickname my loveliest 2nd family in Korea gave me – my initials, DS. I knew I wanted to etch those memories on me forever. So this tiny gorgeous tattoo – my initials ㄷㅅ in Korean, will always remind me of that beautiful place, the beautiful memories and the version of me that blossomed there🥰
