Diana Nyad Instagram – It was Labor Day 12 years ago that my Xtreme Dream Team and I walked up onto the beach in Key West, after my swimming 52 hrs, 54 mins from Havana. The grand adventure of a lifetime and I will never forget any member of my committed team. Bonnie was the strength of the crossing. Candace (silver hair) was the only person on my boat all five times, over 35 years, going back to the first attempt in 1978. The box jellyfish stings could have been fatal. My shark divers were brave.
Yes, life goes ONWARD, but the memory never seems to fade.
Still proud.
