Dixie Carter-Salinas Instagram – Tanner graduated from high school a week ago and I still haven’t recovered. I’ve seen him work so hard and sacrifice so much these past 4 years, but it never sunk in just how much he had accomplished until I heard it recapped in his Salutatorian introduction, the Cum Laude video, and the presentation of the Distinguished Senior Award that he won. It was surreal. To say I’m proud is an understatement. Tanner, you are so disciplined and have been laser focused on your grades and your accomplishments both on the stage and in the classroom. Your perseverance paid off and you were accepted to more of the Top 10 Acting programs in the world at distinguished universities than I could imagine. I wished you had not pushed yourself so hard and had more fun, but you knew what you wanted and you accomplished it. Kudos. Congratulations. You did it! You are even more kind and loving than you are talented and smart. What a winning combination…don’t ever lose that. Your love of God and how your faith plays a role in everything in your life is inspiring. Don’t EVER EVER lose that! God blessed me to be your mama and you bless me every day.
