Interpreting the theme, Zac treated the design’s tailoring like a couture gown. It marks his first-ever Met Gala creation to feature pants. A symbolic choice aligned with the evening’s tribute to historical Black dandyism as a form of elegance, resistance, and self-definition.
The look also draws on Gap’s deep heritage in denim and natural fibers. Combining raw, natural ecru denim and shank buttons with couture-level detailing.
