Maria Canals-Barrera Instagram – Amazing #LaCena event gathered over 175 Latino artists and industry leaders to celebrate our impact on culture over the past year. These projects included The Long Game, In the Summers, One of the Good Ones, American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos, and Rez Ball. We celebrated the 30-year anniversary (of my first film in L. A.) Gregory Nava’s, My Family, Mi Familia with a reunion of our cast and creative team where we received #LaCena ‘s inaugural Legacy Award. In addition, My Family, Mi Familia was inducted into the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress. It was such an inspiring and encouraging evening!
