GMS offered:
👉 Interest rate of 2 to 2.5%
👉 Three investment horizons- Short (1-3Y), Medium (5-7Y) & Long-Term (12-15Y)
👉 Deposits of minimum 10g of physical gold in the form of Jewellery (without stones), bars, and coins.
👉 Redemption Options – Cash or gold (*Gold will not be given back in the original form)
Now, Medium & Long Term Government Deposits will not be available.
However, existing deposits will stay safe till maturity and people can still make new deposits in Short Term Bank Deposits, but availability & interest rates for these will be at bank’s discretion.
