Since childhood, big birthday parties never excited me. What I looked forward to was simple a cake with a few gems on it. Now it’s replaced by a cake from my parents or my loved ones, with a few walnuts or almonds on top. That’s always been enough.
I never expected big gifts. What touched me most were the people who remembered me ; who called, who came by, who wished me. That’s what always made my birthdays special.
Every year teaches me something. This year, it taught me patience. It made me grow, made me achieve, and most importantly, it made me realize that these years are my prime. A time to work every single day toward what I want. To make me proud not anyone else around me.
So, grab what you love. Travel where your heart wants. And love as much as you can.
