Nidhi Subbaiah Instagram – Arivaame – Celebrating Kodava Culture was a beautiful and enriching event that took place on Saturday, September 20th, at 5 PM at the Indian Heritage Academy in Koramangala, Bengaluru. We were especially delighted to see Radio Azim Premji University as a co-presenter, which highlighted the event’s depth and cultural significance.
It was a true delight to be a part of such a special evening dedicated to the rich traditions of the Kodava community. The event successfully immersed attendees in a vibrant display of Kodava heritage. The traditional dances, from the martial Bolkat to the elegant women’s Ummathat, were performed with an incredible passion that brought the stories and history of the community to life. The soulful songs, performed by talented singers, resonated with the audience, making the experience all the more authentic and heartfelt.
The performers’ dedication and skill were evident in every step and note, making for an unforgettable experience. It was a fantastic opportunity to witness the unique customs and strong community spirit firsthand.
