Paulina Vega Instagram – Take a moment to pause today and say a quiet prayer in your heart. The truth is, there is no distraction, or momentary pleasure, or outside stimulus that can replace the completeness from the light within. Go quiet, put the phone aside, be still. I know it is not easy in this world of constant distractions. I know it can feel painful, or sometimes maybe we are hard on ourselves or think something is wrong with us. But that is how we have been programmed. It is not your fault, it is hard. Do not avoid the discomfort, on the other side of the pain is where we will find what we have been truly searching for. It is not at the bottom of a bottle, the end of a cigarette, or the endless scrolling on social media. Is it not interesting that those things leave off a little more tired, a little worse off? That is your clear sign we are going in the wrong direction. But it’s tempting, it’s an easy “solution” an easy moment to capture. Only a hard life will follow.
I invite you on this Friday, to break the pattern of distractions that every weekend always offers. Put the phone away, breath, move, eat healthy, sleep early, be in nature if you can, go for a hike with friends. LIVE. Life is happening now.
