My name is Rachel David and I’m the founder of Ela.
I’ve been a coffee girl all my life — and honestly still am.
But somewhere along the the way, I felt the need to slow down. To try something new. I felt that the world of Matcha was untapped especially in India and saw potential in building a brand rooted in culture and identity yet global.
To me, a drink, whether coffee, tea or matcha has never always been only about the drink but the moment it creates around it. A drink for me is what gives me comfort and a time to breathe, reflect and connect. This brand carries a little bit of all that.
Some of my most beautiful connections have been built over a cup and I want Ela to do the same for the world.
