It was lovely to be back to my alma mater, my beloved Dhaka University, to share some of the findings from my PhD research, related to gender and early childhood education, at the ‘Sufia Kamal Seminar Series’ of the Department of Women and Gender Studies. Thank you Dr. Sayed Saikh Imtiaz for inviting me to your department. I had a great time connecting with the students and teachers, and responding to their very relevant and important questions. Last but not the least, I am proud to have two of my friends, Dr. Ishrat Khan Barsha and Aditi Sabur, teaching at the Department of Gender Studies. #DhakaUniversity #almamater

I’m incredibly emotional and proud to share that I have successfully defended my PhD thesis at the University of Geneva! This moment marks the end of a five-year journey that has been nothing short of bittersweet. For me, choosing the “less traveled path” meant embracing the challenge of pursuing this degree while juggling a full-time career, occasional acting ventures, and substantial family responsibilities. This experience has been the ultimate masterclass in resilience, teaching me the true depth of what I can handle. I owe a profound debt of gratitude to my family, friends, and colleagues whose unwavering support was the fuel that kept this journey going. As of today, I can officially and proudly add the title of “Dr.” to my name—a title that I have worked tirelessly to earn. #PhDLife #UniversityOfGeneva
