Rashida Jones Instagram – @mayaandthewave will make its online premiere via global livestream on Saturday, June 7th, followed by a Q&A with @Maya, director @stephjohnes, and executive producer, @rashidajones.
Ten years in the making, this award- winning film follows the journey of Maya Gabeira as she cheats death and defies the patriarchy to become the first woman to make a world record in big wave surfing.
