Shreya Jaiswal Instagram – RBI has always come up with policies that benefit the citizens of this country, and one such policy is the Locker Policy of RBI.
The bank lockers do not have any insurance for the valuable items stored with them, nor is there a record of any items removed or placed by the customer, however during fire, theft, burglary, dacoity, robbery, building collapse or in case of fraud committed by the employees of the bank with regards to the bank locker, the bank is responsible to pay a penalty 100 times that of the rent.
However, this is not applicable for any damage or loss of contents arising out of natural calamities like floods, earthquakes, disasters,etc.
