I held discussions with President of the G6PD Deficiency Foundation, Keely Harris and its Vice President, Niloofer Darbary.
The discussions centered on building a collaborative partnership to extend awareness campaigns on G6PD deficiency across Ghana, Africa, and beyond.
G6PD deficiency, an enzyme disorder which affects millions globally, often goes undiagnosed, leading to severe health complications and in worst case, death.
As a patient myself who almost lost my life due to unawareness of the deficiency,I hope my effort will ensure others do not endure such life-threatening challenges .
Determined to change this narrative, I am leveraging my platform to educate the public and advocate for screening and treatment options.
Together, this partnership represents a significant step forward in bridging gaps in knowledge, resources, and healthcare access for individuals affected by G6PD deficiency.
The @timakumkumfoundation and the @deficiencyg6pd Foundation aim to work together on educational programs, community outreach initiatives, and screening campaigns to shed light on this pressing health issue.
