Dear Luna, The first time I held a pen to write, it was for a poem. I didn’t know about structure or rhythm, it was all emotion, raw, unfiltered. Then I discovered Wattpad and began creating characters of my own. I remember being fifteen, having around two thousand readers, and dreaming with every sentence I wrote. But I never finished those stories. I fell deeper in love with poems and journals instead and they became my way of coping… of surviving. I wrote because I was in pain. I bled through words because it was the only way I knew how to breathe. I never learned how to write about love not because I didn’t want to, but maybe because my life never felt like one. And then, I met you, Luna. When I read you for the first time, I didn’t just see a character. I saw a reflection. You were everything I wanted to express but never could. You were my dream role long before I even knew it. And when I finally got to portray you, I gave everything, my heart, my honesty, my quiet understanding of pain just to bring you to life. You reminded me of the parts of myself I used to hate, the sadness, the longing, the fragility but through you, I learned to see them differently. You made me grateful for the little things, for the people who stayed, and for the ones who saved me in silence. Because of you, I’ve learned that I don’t need to explain myself to anyone. I don’t need to prove anything. I just need to keep feeling, keep creating, and keep believing that stories even the sad ones have meaning. Because of you, I am learning to be free. And maybe that’s what you were meant to teach me, that not everyone, and not everything, is meant to stay. Some are just meant to change you. So thank you, Luna… for letting me find freedom through you, for letting me rediscover my love for storytelling, and for reminding me that even pain can be beautiful when lived, when performed, when shared.
